MYO, Kings Cross

MYO Kings Cross is a flagship flexible workspace development by Landsec, designed by London‑based SODA Studio and positioned to redefine modern office environments in one of the capital’s most dynamic districts. The 80,000 sq ft project is the largest MYO location to date and offers a diverse mix of private offices, collaborative spaces, wellness amenities, and an on‑site Grade II‑listed events venue — all targeting a WELL Platinum certification for wellbeing and productivity‑focused design.

Appointed as the bespoke fabricators and installers for the handrail elements of the scheme, we collaborated closely with the project team to deliver high‑quality, technically refined solutions that complement the architectural and lighting vision. Working to lighting design by Illumination Works, our scope included the custom manufacture and installation of integrated handrail systems that enhance both wayfinding and the tactile experience throughout the building.

We delivered two distinct handrail treatments:

Glowrail – Timber Finish
A meticulously crafted timber‑faced handrail system that marries natural warmth with precision‑engineered lighting integration. The continuous LED channel delivers subtle, ambient illumination that accentuates circulation routes and supports intuitive movement within stair cores and key transitional areas.

Glowrail – Stainless Steel Finish
A brushed stainless steel handrail solution designed to follow complex geometry and directional changes with clean, uninterrupted lines. Custom fabricated brackets were fixed into pre‑formed apertures in the structure to maintain a refined aesthetic, while the concealed LED strip provides a consistent, high‑quality light output aligned with the overall interior design concept.

All metalwork and timber fabrication were completed in‑house by our team, ensuring total control over detailing, alignment and finish quality. The result is a robust yet elegant handrail system that integrates seamlessly with the architectural framework and enhances the user experience throughout MYO Kings Cross.
