King & Spalding

As part of the transformation of King & Spalding’s London offices, The Light Lab team delivered a series of bespoke lighting installations across several floors of this landmark space.

Specified by lighting designers Equation, with Overbury as main contractor and interior architecture by TP Bennett, our Glowrail LED and Glowline systems were selected for their seamless integration and architectural precision.

A standout element of the project is the sweeping helical timber staircase connecting levels 27 to 31, where our specialist team fabricated and installed the Glowrail™ LED insert, precisely following the stair’s complex geometry. Complementing this, a bespoke curved LED fitting was seamlessly integrated into the staircase stringer soffit, casting a soft, ambient light over the surrounding planting and subtly enhancing the natural textures and warmth of the space.

In addition to the stair installation, we also fabricated two custom cylindrical curved pendants, designed to hover elegantly above the reception desks on level 28 — adding a sculptural yet functional lighting element that anchors the entrance experience.

This project showcases the versatility of our lighting systems and the precision fabrication that brings complex architectural visions to life. It also reflects our collaborative approach—working closely with contractors, designers, and project partners on site to coordinate and finalise installation, ensuring seamless integration and the highest quality finish.
