We were approached by HLM architects to realise their idea of creating interlinked circles of bright light, set into the ground in the forecourt of Omagh Fire department headquarters in Northern Ireland. The Light Lab proposed our in-ground Glowline product to create a curved 50mm wide fitting in various specific radii.

The fittings required a fixing system solid enough to remain set in place in the external patio application but also accessible for maintenance. They were designed and manufactured with a belt and braces approach, to ensure reliability through the extremes of Irish weather, in addition to being robust enough for heavy vehicles to drive over.
24v LEDs with less than 10w/m power consumption with >80 lumens/watt ensured low ongoing operating costs.
