We went to the private view of the Freq. exhibition at the Hoxton Gallery; a collaboration between design studio Haberdashery & artist Julian Abrams. The exhibition launched on the summer solstice, displaying beautiful abstract light sculptures and 14 photographic prints based on these works.

My favourite sculpture is pictured below: a hexagonal form of reflective steel, which appears to change colour, as a result of the linear LED strips lighting each side. The LEDs change colour at random and cast their light onto the surface, with the subtle changes creating colourful patterned lines and a stunning geometric illusion of light.

(Freq. is showing at The Arch, 9 Kingsland Road,  until 27th June)
