“Come Build the Future” – A Global Collaboration of Creativity and Innovation
The UK Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka reimagines what a national exhibition can be; an immersive, tech-enhanced experience that showcases the UK’s spirit of creativity and forward-thinking innovation. Spearheaded by Immersive International, the Pavilion invites visitors into a dynamic, story-led journey guided by PIX, a shape-shifting digital character, enhanced by responsive lighting and spatial audio. Immersive International served as the experience producers, with BEAM credited as the lighting concept designers.

As part of the delivery team, The Light Lab was commissioned by Creative Technology Systems Integration and Sloane Squared Ltd to fabricate and supply 137 custom illuminated acrylic cubes, ceiling mounted in the Pix Lobby and interactive Pix Room projection space as part of the walk-through visitor experience

Each cube was crafted to exact specification in the UK, featuring:

SPI RGBW-controlled LEDs arranged in 5×5 configurations
Integrated SPI circuitry and plug-and-play cabling for hassle-free installation
Full technical documentation, including drawings and install guides, with remote support provided throughout when required.
Delivered via our coordinated supply and support model, this project demonstrates our ability to contribute to complex international showcases—combining UK manufacturing precision with smooth integration by on-site teams overseas.

The result is a standout lighting feature within the Pavilion that celebrates collaboration, innovation, and the shared building of a better future.
