Bespoke tree Lanterns

The Light Lab were commissioned by lighting designers Speirs & Major to fabricate a bespoke lantern design, for an exterior area within Elephant Park, as part of the regeneration project by Gillespies architects for client Land Lease.

The fittings are suspended in a row of trees on Sayer Street, within Elephant Park, in keeping with Speirs & Major’s  ‘organic approach’ to lighting, and realising their concept of lighting design in the park to create an inviting ‘after dark experience’, to support its role as a social hub.

As S&M explain:

“While Elephant Park is an extensive regeneration project with many diverse character areas, the lighting scheme for the park itself exemplifies the ambition of the original lighting masterplan, using light, darkness, texture and colour to create a very special experience for everyone after dark”
