The Light Lab are pleased to announce several projects we’ve worked on this year are shortlisted in the Lux Awards 2019, with the winners being announced at tonight’s ceremony in London.
First up in the ‘Outdoor Lighting Project of the Year’ category is the ‘Mercer St Art Installation, St Martin’s Courtyard’. We realised the initial concept & design of Brimelowe McSweeny Architects & lighting designers Studio 29, to manufacture and install a unique mirror polished stainless steel ceiling-with a vinyl covered poly-carbonate wall, back-lit with LED colour spot/floodlights, to offer shadow and projected effects through the walkway – leading into St Martin’s Courtyard.

We also manufactured and installed our bespoke illuminated handrail ‘Glowrail’ as part of the Meadowhall shopping centre refurbishment in Sheffield, for BDP – which is shortlisted in the ‘Retail lighting project of the year’.

Good luck to all the projects shortlisted!
