Join The Light Lab for a CPD-style Lunch & Learn exploring the design, specification and integration of illuminated handrail systems within architectural and public realm projects. We provide lunch for in-person sessions, or can deliver the presentation remotely via Microsoft Teams for international studios and distributed teams.

Drawing on our experience in bespoke lighting manufacture, fabrication and installation, the session combines practical specification guidance with real-world project examples, covering topics such as:

• Illuminated handrail applications for staircases, ramps, bridges, walkways and circulation routes
• Public realm lighting considerations, including safety, accessibility and durability
• Design integration across different materials, geometries and fixing conditions
• Lighting performance, colour temperature, controls and emergency lighting integration
• Specification guidance, maintenance requirements and long-term serviceability
• Cost drivers, value engineering opportunities and common project challenges
• Bespoke fabrication, prototyping and mock-up development

Each presentation is tailored to suit the interests of your practice and includes opportunities for discussion with our design and manufacturing team.

We’ll also bring along product samples and, where appropriate, can leave a Glowrail LED handrail sample box with your studio for your material library, providing a useful reference for future projects.
