Projects like Camlife show the value of bringing specialist teams together early and maintaining clear communication throughout. With multiple trades and design elements needing to align, successful delivery often comes down to collaboration from day one.
Working alongside Taunton Fabrications Ltd, we delivered bespoke Glowrail LED handrails in American Walnut finish, for the feature stairs at the Camlife campus in Cambridge. Integrating lighting within a complex combination of steelwork, handrails and timber finishes required close coordination throughout the project. As part of the process, we also produced a full-scale mock-up for review and approval, helping to refine details and ensure the final installation met the design intent.
We were particularly pleased to receive such positive feedback from the Taunton team:
“The Light Lab were great to work with throughout the project. Their clear and timely communication helped keep everything running smoothly, ensuring the lighting and handrail details were properly coordinated with our steelwork, fixing arrangements and the surrounding timber finishes without compromising the final look.” Dave Baverstock, Director of Contracts
A great example of what can be achieved when teams work closely together with a shared focus on quality and detail.
