Looking back to one of our most notable installations at the Kings Cross Underground tunnel link, as 2024 marks 10 years since project completion in 2014. The custom light wall, fabricated & installed by The Light Lab, is the main focus of the tunnel, located on the outside of the curve, measuring nearly 100m long – designed & built by Allies & Morrison architects & BAM Construction, with lighting design by Speirs Major Light Architecture to form a link between Kings Cross & St Pancras stations.
The light wall has been used countless times over the years as a backdrop for photo shoots & visuals, a catwalk for London Fashion Week, an art gallery, and most recently featuring in the Season 4 trailer for Apple TV’s ‘Slow Horses’ (pictured).
The light tunnel is a landmark project in Kings Cross that we’re continuously proud of. It represents the pinnacle of our team’s skill in specialist fabrication and installation; establishing a benchmark that highlights our unwavering dedication to delivering unparalleled quality in lighting.
