The Light Lab was established in 2002, bringing together our collective expertise in the growing field of specialist lighting design. Systems include cold cathode lights, LED lights and Fibre optic lights.

With over 10 years experience working with fibre optics, LED lights and lighting control systems, our design team has the know-how to create the most innovative of lighting features and schemes.

Drawing on our experience with event lighting, we bring a sense of drama and occassion to architectural lighting. We can enhance any environment while embracing the importance of practical concerns such as light pollution, energy conservation and cost restraints.

Our products include:

• Full range of Fibre optic lights, using highest grade glass fibre, including new Excel Glass Fusion system, and ultra slim display case lightbars. Offering a full range of CE and UL approved lightsources and quality lens fittings
• SpectraGlass, a screenprinted toughened glass, edgelit with LED light technology creating homogenous light distribution over panel sizes of 3.5m x 1.2m.

Our services include:

• Design and Supply - providing overall lighting design for schemes from commercial offices to residential properties; ensuring design integrity by supplying all lighting specified, and project managing all aspects of the lighting programme. We do not charge design fees, as all costs are gained from suppliers' discounts that offer preferential rates, ensuring the most cost-effective solution to the end client.
• Lighting Design Consultancy - creating lighting design schemes for all environments, helping architects and interior designers realise the full potential of their project vision. Fee based service, either by agreed project price or hourly rate.
• Design and Build of Lighting Features - providing design through to installation to ensure that design integrity and the most creative and dramatic effects are achieved. From colour walls and light sculptures to bespoke fittings, we manage all aspects of new product design creating visually stunning features for public areas, leisure, office, retail and domestic markets.
• Event Lighting - with a team of specialist freelance designers we offer an event lighting package from private parties to exhibition stands and major TV events, creating stunning effects from conventional stage lighting integrated with the latest in our innovative range.

Cold cathode lights are often used for low power applications, such as decorative interior lighting and retail counters. Each of our cold cathode lights come in a wide range of colours from subtle shades to more vivid hues. Our cold cathode lights are easy to install, using a plug and fit installation. They can offer uninterrupted linear light, manufactured to bespoke designs.

LED lights are a more energy efficient solution than conventional lamps for interior and exterior lighting. Along with Fibre optic light systems, they are also more flexible. Applications include architectural and exterior lighting.
